Since 1983, the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation has delivered services to hundreds and thousands of people from around the world devastated from bone marrow disease. AA&MDSIF is a charitable non-profit organization described under the Internal Revenue Code, Section 501 (c) (3), voluntarily audited on an annual basis. We are proud of our record, and we maintain the highest standard of ethics as referred to in the Code of Ethics.
The American Institute of Philanthropy has determined the reasonable industry standard for administrative and fundraising expenses to be 40%. AA&MDSIF is proud to spend only 9.6% on fundraising and administrative expenses and we strongly encourage donors to compare our performance to other organizations when making charitable contributions. We are dedicated to maintaining this low annual percentage in order to allow maximum resources to be passed on to patient information and research.
