You can support AA&MDSIF while shopping and searching on the Internet:  

	Shop online through the www.iGive.com link and a percentage of your purchase will be donated to AA&MDSIF.  iGive links to 680 online stores including Apple iTunes, Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, Lands End and many more.  Just log onto iGive, register, and tell them you want a share of your purchase to go to Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation.  iGive's mission is to enable the economic power of individuals to benefit their chosen communities.
	More than 600 name-brand stores like Nordstrom, Best Buy, Orbitz, Land's End, Borders and more are now participating with GoodShop.com or iGive.com and will donate a percentage of each purchase to AA&MDSIF when you select us as your charity of choice. Go to GoodShop.com (enter aplastic in the selection box) and then click over to your favorite store.
	Don't forget to use Goodsearch.com every time you search the Internet. This Yahoo-powered search engine donates about a penny per search to your favorite cause! You can quickly download a toolbar that sends a contribution to AA&MDSIF each time you search the Internet. Simply go to GoodSearch.com and choose Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation as your charity of choice.
	Create your own Web site for your fundraising event! Now you can raise funds quickly and easily to help AA&MDSIF search for a cure for aplastic anemia, MDS, PNH and other bone marrow diseases.  Whether you want to participate in or host a sporting event, celebrate a wedding, honor a loved one, or challenge friends and family to raise money for AA&MDSIF, now you can do it easily and with lots of helpful tools. Community Fundraising Ideas

Community events are an invaluable means of benefiting AA&MDSIF's mission and of increasing awareness about bone marrow diseases. The patients, families, and friends who organize these events agree that the results are gratifying, fun, and rewarding. 

AA&MDSIF is fortunate to be a part of many successful community campaigns and annual fundraising events.  These activities have brought in thousands of dollars to help fund medical research, patient information, support services, and educational materials.

Ask yourself the following questions first: 

• Do I have the time to coordinate all aspects of an event, from the nuts to the bolts?
• Do I have the interest to follow through on everything?
• Am I able to ask people for money?
• Do I have the energy to make this event HAPPEN?
• Do I have the passion to organize an event of this nature?
• Do I have the people resources to make this event successful?
• Am I resourceful enough to rely and succeed on pure volunteer energy?

If this should become an annual event, am I able to continue this effort annually?

If the answer is YES to all of these questions, then you are ready to begin planning a fundraising event in your community. Over the years, fundraising events have come in all shapes, sizes, and forms with a variety of themes.  It is best to plan an event that interests YOU!  Remember that your success may be limited if you undertake a project that has no personal interest or appeal.
