A Walk to Remember
A Walk to Remember is being organized by Nequisha and Cynthia Rivera in honor of their mother, Luz Delia Rivera, who passed away five years ago from aplastic anemia. The family has organized this walk in honor of their mother, and in honor of all those who are affected with a bone marrow failure disease, cancer, or other diseases.
Join them in their walk on Saturday, October 20 from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm which begins at New Bedford Beach located on West Rodney French Blvd. (Job Lot side). The walk ends at Fort Taber. At the end of the walk, red balloons will be released in honor of those you are walking for.
If you would like to attend, please show up at New Bedford Beach and bring a red balloon to release. To support this event through a donation, please visit their fundraising page.
If you have any questions about this event, please contact AA&MDSIF Community Development Manager Martha Crews at crews@aamds.org.
