Paying Tribute to Someone Special

There is no greater legacy to our lives than knowing that we made the life of another better and brighter.   We are inspired by the lives of those who have passed, as we work to find a cure and to support those who are bravely fighting aplastic anemia, MDS, PNH and other bone marrow failure diseases.  Memorial contributions provide support to all AA&MDSIF programs and services.

Making a Gift in Memory of Someone Special?

A gift to AA&MDSIF is a meaningful way to remember a loved one.  We will notify the family of your gift, if you provide the name and contact information of the loved one you would like to receive the memorial gift notice from us.

Consider distinguishing your memorial gift by Dedicating a Day on the AA&MDSIF Calendar of Hope

To make a gift by mail, print and complete our Donations Form with the appropriate information.  Send your check or credit card information to: AA&MDSIF, 100 Park Avenue, Suite 108, Rockville, MD 20850.

Letting Family and Friends Know You’ve Designated AA&MDSIF for Memorial Gifts

On a daily basis, we hear from many patients, families and friends who are designating AA&MDISF as their charity of choice for memorial gifts as they celebrate the life and mourn the loss of their loved one. They choose AA&MDSIF because the person being remembered, or the loved ones in their lives, faced the challenges of these diseases and had received support from AA&MDSIF.

To designate AA&MDSIF, it is helpful to print the following information in the obituary, memorial program, or online memorial guestbook:

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation (AA&MDSIF).  Gifts can be made online at www.AAMDS.org/DonateNow or sent to AA&MDSIF, 100 Park Avenue, Suite 108, Rockville, MD 20850.  The family will be notified of your thoughtful tribute.  Thank you.

Some funeral homes will make donation envelopes available to mourners. AA&MDSIF can also provide memorial donation envelopes upon request.

We invite a member of the family to let us know that you've designated us so that we can ensure that the gifts are properly acknowledged to those who give and the appropriate family member is notified of the generosity of their family and friends.  Please contact Desiree Ruiters at (301) 279-7202 x105 or email ruiters@aamds.org.

To learn more about establishing a named fund for your loved one as a legacy that could provide significant program support in their name, please contact our Development Director, Sandra Walter at walter@aamds.org or (301) 279-7202x104.

Our deepest sympathies to you and your family during this time.  We are thinking of you, and we have you all in our hearts.  Together, we'll help more patients and families while we are pursuing better treatments and a cure!  Thank you.
