Mobile App for MDS Risk Stratification and Treatment Options

The Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation has developed a FREE application to assist physicians with risk stratification and selection of treatment options for patients with myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). It includes medical calculators for the following classification/scoring systems:

  • FAB Classification
  • WHO Classification
  • IPSS
  • WPSS

In each of these systems, there are context-sensitive informational screens for the user. The mobile application also contains a robust Resource section, which includes links to the following:

  • The AA&MDSIF Treating MDS Toolkit
  • Journal articles pertaining to the various classification and prognostic scoring systems
  • NCCN Guidelines for MDS
  • CME programs related to treatment and diagnosis of MDS

The FAQ section includes frequently asked questions about MDS classification/scoring systems with answers by MDS experts.  This mobile application is currently available for the following devices:

  • Android smartphones
  • Apple iPhone
  • Apple iPad
  • Blackberry platforms.

An iPad specific version is also available in the iPad App Store.

The AA&MDSIF mobile application is now available and can be downloaded from the Android Market, Apple App Store, and Blackberry App World.
