Dr. Shereck specializes in bone marrow: The soft, spongy tissue inside most bones. Blood cells are formed in the bone marrow. transplantation for children with cancer, blood disorders and immunodeficiencies. She conducts clinical trials: Clinical research is at the heart of all medical advances, identifying new ways to prevent, detect or treat disease. If you have a bone marrow failure disease, you may want to consider taking part in a clinical trial, also called a research study. Understanding Clinical Trials Clinical… as a part of the Primary Immune Deficiency Treatment Consortium (PIDTC) and the Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Consortium (PBMTC).

Dr. Shereck is also interested in discovering innovative ways to teach the next generation of physicians. She has plenty of opportunities to try out new models of learning through the medical school course she teaches (Blood and Host Defense) and as the fellowship director for pediatric hematology/oncology.
