Dr. Jodi Mayfield is an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Stem Cell research at the University of New Mexico. She received her MD from the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center in 2008. She is currently a member of the American Society of Hematology and the Children's Oncology Group. Dr. Mayfield's areas of practice include Stem Cell transplantation, Acute Leukemias, and Bone Marrow failure: A condition that occurs when the bone marrow stops making enough healthy blood cells. The most common of these rare diseases are aplastic anemia, myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH).
