AAMDSIF Research Grants Program

Since 1989, AAMDSIF has provided research grants totaling in excess of $5.9 million to an international group of 107 researchers.

2025 Grant Cycle now open!

  • Required Letter of Intent (LOI)
    LOIs are required prior to submission of full application. Applicants will be invited to submit a full application based on the LOI. 
  • Poster Presentation
    Grantees are required to present their work at the AAMDSIF Scientific Symposium, held every two years. Travel stipends may be available for grantees.

Letters of Intent (LOI)

Letters of intent (LOIs) will be accepted from potential applicants. LOIs are due June 30, 2025 and must be submitted via the online grant application portal proposalCENTRAL, https://proposalcentral.altum.com/.

Application

Select applicants will be invited to submit full proposals, based on review of the letters of intent. Applications will be due October 31, 2025, and must be submitted via the grant application portal proposalCENTRAL, https://proposalcentral.altum.com/

 

In 2025, the AAMDSIF Research Grant Program will accept proposals addressing these bone marrow failure disorders:

  • Aplastic Anemia 
    Funding is available to support one project at $60,000 over two years ($30,000 per year) judged to have the highest scientific merit by the AAMDSIF Medical Advisory Board reviewers.
     
  • Myelodysplastic Syndromes/Neoplasms (MDS), including MDS Transition to Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)
    Funding is available to support one project at $60,000 over two years ($30,000 per year) judged to have the highest scientific merit by the AAMDSIF Medical Advisory Board reviewers.

Notification of Award: December 1, 2025
Funding Begins: January 1, 2026
