Her research concentrates on adults who are receiving reduced-intensity conditioning regimens. Dr. Salit is looking at ways to reduce infections, prevent graft-vs.-host disease, decrease relapse and improve long-term quality of life. She is also trying to extend cord blood as a donor source to patients with certain slow-growing blood cancers such as myelofibrosis.
