Dr. Traer completed a fellowship in hematology/oncology from Oregon Health & Science University. He received his M.D./Ph.D. from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed a residency in internal medicine at Oregon Health & Science University. In addition to practicing general hematology at OHSU Knight Cancer Institute, Dr. Traer is involved in clinical trials evaluating targeted therapy with kinase inhibitors in leukemia patients. Dr. Naval Daver is an Associate Professor in the Department of Leukemia at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He completed his medical school from Grant Medical College and Sir J group of Hospitals Mumbai, followed by a residency and fellowship in hematology-oncology from Baylor College of Medicine. He is a clinical investigator with a focus on molecular and immune therapies in AML and Myelofibrosis and is principal investigator on >25 ongoing institutional, national and international clinical trials in these diseases.

Dr. Litzow is Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He was the Director of the BMT Program at Mayo from 1992 to 2008 and continues to remain active in the BMT program. He was the Director of the Myeloid Disease Oriented Group in the Division of Hematology from 2002 to 2016. He was appointed chair of the Leukemia Committee of the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group-American College of Radiology Imaging Network (ECOG-ACRIN) in September 2013 after having served as co-chair of the committee since 2001.

Dr. Stein is a hematology-oncology physician who specializes in caring for people with acute and chronic leukemias, myelodysplastic syndromes, and myeloproliferative neoplasms. He is dedicated to providing my patients with the best care tailored to their unique situation. To do this, he works together with patients to develop a personalized treatment plan that takes into account their needs as well as their family’s. Dr. Stein is also an active clinical researcher who develops new and innovative approaches to treating acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

Maxim Norkin, MD, PhD, is board certified in hematology and oncology with clinical expertise in hematological malignancies and bone marrow transplantation. An advisory group member of the National Marrow Donor Program, Dr. Norkin has served as a principal investigator on multiple clinical trials and is dedicated to providing the best evidenced-based care to his patients.

Dr. Nimer has been conducting extensive clinical and basic science research into the treatment, and genetic basis of adult leukemia and bone marrow failure states, defining the regulatory mechanisms that control the production of blood cells and exploring ways to improve the treatment of blood-based cancers.
