Donna Hammond holds a BS in Biochemical Pharmacology, State University of New York at Buffalo, PhD in Pharmacology, University of Illinois at Chicago and was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Neurobiology of Pain, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Hammond is Professor of Anesthesia Professor of Neuroscience and Pharmacology Vice Chair for Research, Department of Anesthesia Dr. Hammond's research focuses on finding pathways to reduce or eliminate peripheral neuropathy for patients undergoing chemotherapy including bone marrow failure diseases.

I am both a hematologist-oncologist and a clinical researcher. Along with caring for you, I conduct research focused on hematologic (blood-based) malignancies — specifically, acute myeloid leukemia (AML), myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), polycythemia vera, essential thrombocythemia and myelofibrosis. My overarching research aim is to help adults with these diseases have better outcomes by developing and testing evidence-based therapies that are tailored to your unique needs as a patient. Dr. Kanwaldeep Mallhi is a pediatric oncologist and hematologist who specializes in nonmalignant blood disorders in children. These disorders include immunodeficiencies, bone marrow failure and metabolic errors. She is an expert in pediatric blood stem cell transplants, and her research focuses on alternative donor sources and the development of reduced-intensity conditioning regimens, which use radiation, chemotherapy or other procedures to remove diseased or failing cells prior to transplant.

Sioban Keel, M.D., is a board certified hematologist at SCCA and a UW associate professor of Hematology and Medicine. Dr. Punwani is a hematologist/oncologist with the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute at Cedars-Sinai. Dr. Ivana Gojo is a Hematologist/Oncologist in Baltimore. Her clinical focus is on diagnosis and management of patients with acute leukemias (AML, ALL) and other myeloid malignancies (MDS, MPNs, CML), with emphasis on the development of novel therapeutic approaches for these diseases. She is nationally and internationally recognized expert in clinical translation of novel therapeutics for acute leukemias and principal investigator on multiple multi-center investigator-initiated studies. Dr. Zeidner's research interests include discovering innovative methods to improve outcomes, drug discovery and development, and designing clinical trials in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), and myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs). He leads the Leukemia Clinical Trials Research Protocol Office Disease (POD) Group where we have a multitude of cutting-edge clinical trials for acute leukemia, MDS, and MPNs. Katherine Tarlock, M.D., is a board certified physician at Seattle Children’s Hospital and a UW assistant professor of pediatrics. Dr. Tarlock believes the privilege of caring for patients and families during challenging medical diagnoses is what drew her to this field and continues to be the best part of her job. She is dedicated to advancing our understanding of leukemia and being able to offer every child and family the best care. Dr. Tarlock earned her M.D. at Chicago Medical School. She is board certified in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.

Dr. Sujit Sheth is the Chief of the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Attending Pediatrician at NewYork-Presbyterian Phyllis and David Komansky Children's Hospital and Weill Cornell Medical Center. He is also Vice Chair of Clinical Research in the Department of Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Sheth is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology, and is an expert in iron metabolism, thalassemia, and sickle cell disease.
