Dr. Leslie Ellis is a hematologist-oncologist at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Dr. Ellis earned her BS and MD degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is an active researcher and treats patients across the hematologic malignancy spectrum, focusing primarily on leukemias as well as bone marrow failure diseases.

Shannon McCurdy, MD is Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and is employed by Penn Medicine . Dr. McCurdy is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. She is an active researcher and works with the Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Transplant Program, the Hematological Malignancies (Blood Cancer) Program and the Leukemia Program.

Sarah Bannon is a Senior Genetic Counselor in the Department of Clinical Cancer Genetics at the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her clinical responsibilities include providing risk assessment and genetic counseling services to individuals at risk for an inherited predisposition to hematologic malignancies (leukemia). She is the Genetic Counselor for the Hereditary Hematologic Malignancies Clinic (HHMC).

Mary K. Hughes, MS, RN, CNS, CT, is a Outpatient, Clinical Nurse Specialist with the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Psychiatry Department where she works with a team of mental health professionals to support patients, families and caregivers from diagnosis to treatment to survivorship.

Krisstina Gowin, DO is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Arizona. Dr. Gowin graduated from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009, where she received a merit scholarship and recognition from the American Women’s Medical Association for outstanding academic achievement. She completed internal medicine residency at University of Southern California, hematology and medical oncology training at Mayo Clinic in Arizona, fellowship training in integrative medicine at the University of Arizona. She is board certified in medical oncology, internal medicine and hematology

Dr. Ilene C. Weitz is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California (USC). Her practice sites include, LAC+USC Medical Center, Keck Hospital of USC and USC Norris Cancer Hospital. Dr. Weitz is board certified in Internal Medicine and Hematology. Dr. Weitz earned her medical degree at Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, followed by an internship and residency in internal medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She conducted a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in La Jolla

Ellen K. Ritchie, MD is assistant professor of medicine and a member of the Leukemia Program at the Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University and the New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. Dr. Ritchie graduated from Barnard College at Columbia University and received her medical degree from the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University in New York City. She was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia campus. Dr. Podoltsev practice is focused on myeloid neoplasms including acute myelogenous leukemias (AML), myelodisplastic syndromes (MDS), myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) like polycythemia vera (PV), essential thrombocythemia (ET), myelofibrosis (MF), chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) among others. He is providing care for patients with bone marrow failure syndromes / aplastic anemia as well as acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Dr. Podoltsev also follows patients with clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP), systemic mastocytosis and hypereosinophilic syndrome.

After completing his doctorate in medical hematology and oncology in Lyon, France, Dr. Prebet joined Institut Paoli-Calmettes in Marseille, France and completed a fellowship in Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, MA, USA) as a Fullbright alumni. Dr. Prebet is currently the director of the inpatient hematology unit and the medical director of the hematology division of Yale Clinical Trial Office.
