Dr. Michael Burke is an Associate Professor at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin (CHW) in the Division of Hematology/Oncology/Blood & Marrow Transplantation. He is Director of the Pediatric Leukemia & Lymphoma Program at CHW and Co-Director of the Developmental Therapeutics Program where he oversees all early phase clinical trials (Phase I and II studies) at CHW. He has developed both early phase and upfront clinical trials in acute leukemia that have opened locally here at CHW as well as nationally and internationally through consortiums such as the Children’s Oncology Group (COG) and the

Angela Smith joined the Department of Pediatrics in July 2008 in the Division of Hematology/Oncology/Blood and Marrow Transplantation and became Director of the Division Blood and Marrow Transplantation in 2019. Dr. Smith graduated with her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2002. She then went on to complete her internship and residency in Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota. Following residency, she completed a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/Blood and Marrow Transplantation at the University of Minnesota in June 2008. During her fellowship, she also

Dr. Savage joined the Clinical Genetics Branch, DCEG, NCI in 2006 as a tenure-track investigator. She was awarded scientific tenure by the NIH and appointed senior investigator in 2012. In 2013, she was promoted to Branch Chief, and in 2018, she became the Clinical Director for DCEG. Dr. Savage received her M.D. from the University of Vermont College of Medicine, completed residency training in Pediatrics at Children’s National Medical Center, in Washington DC, and a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the NCI Pediatric Oncology Branch and Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Patel is an Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. His reasearch interests include: Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation; alternative donors transplant including umbilical cord blood, transplantation of malignant and non-malignant disease.

Dr. Ron Paquette is a member of the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program at Cedars-Sinai. He is a physician and researcher who treats patients with hematologic disorders including aplastic anemia, myelodysplastic syndrome, leukemias and lymphomas. He attended medical school at The Ohio State University, completed his Internal Medicine residency and Hematology-Oncology fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles. He was previously a faculty member at UCLA before joining Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
