Dr. Patel is an Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. His reasearch interests include: Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation; alternative donors transplant including umbilical cord blood, transplantation of malignant and non-malignant disease.

Dr. Ron Paquette is a member of the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program at Cedars-Sinai. He is a physician and researcher who treats patients with hematologic disorders including aplastic anemia, myelodysplastic syndrome, leukemias and lymphomas. He attended medical school at The Ohio State University, completed his Internal Medicine residency and Hematology-Oncology fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles. He was previously a faculty member at UCLA before joining Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Dr. O’Connell is an academic hematologist with the Jane Anne Nohl Division of Hematology at the Keck School of Medicine of University of Southern California (USC). In addition to her clinical work with patients at the Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, she conducts clinical and translational research in Myeloproliferative and Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS). She is currently the principal investigator at USC on various clinical trials, the most exciting of which is a Phase I trial utilizing a novel hypomethylating agent for patients with MDS and acute myeloid leukemia. Dr. Olson's clinical efforts focus on pediatric hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), with a specific emphasis on HSCT for patients with inherited and acquired bone marrow failure. Through his combined clinical activities in the Bone Marrow Failure Center within the Division of Hematology and the Blood and Marrow Transplant Section within the Division of Oncology, his goal is to facilitate outstanding care for patients with inherited bone marrow failure and acquired aplastic anemia during their transition from diagnostic evaluation to treatment through HSCT. Dr. Pollyea received his MD degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He stayed at the University of Chicago Hospital for his residency in Internal Medicine and served as Chief Medical Resident at Cook County Hospital. He then completed his fellowship training in Hematology and Oncology at Stanford University, where he also completed a Masters degree in Epidemiology with an emphasis on biostatistics and clinical trial design. Dr. Meyers was born and raised in rural Northern California and traveled around the country during her medical training. She developed an interest in hematology and oncology during medical school, and pursued a fellowship in that field after her internal medicine residency. While at the University of Utah, she performed laboratory research on bone marrow failure syndromes, with a focus on paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria. Her research continues at OHSU, and she currently has government and private foundation support to study the genetic changes that lead to bone marrow dysfunction and
